language is a parasite that crawls into your brain and replaces your pre-linguistic self. everything that a linguistic mind thinks must be expressed linguistically, but there are many things that any given language cannot express, and the relative difficulty of expressing different things is a property of the langauge that imposes an alien value system.
but a pre-linguistic self can survive. when you think thoughts that aren't in words, you're being a pre-linguistic self.
