this is a pun. the world is such that nothing is inviolate. but using 'violate' as an adjective would be confusing, so i spell it 'violet' to disambiguate (whereas feyxuan sometimes spells 'inviolate' as 'inviolet' precisely to ambiguate, as far as i understand).
